This page states exactly what is stored in your browser when you visit this site, why it is stored, and how to change your mind.
The short version
Nothing is stored unless it is needed to show the page. The only optional thing is analytics, and it stays switched off until you accept it.
1. Necessary storage
One record is written to your browser's local storage the moment you answer the banner: the key hongda-consent, holding your choice, the version of this notice and the date. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to anyone, and it is the record that keeps us from asking you again on every page.
If you sign in to the site administration, a session token is also kept in local storage for that browser tab. That applies to staff accounts only.
2. Analytics — off until you accept
With your permission we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which product and article pages get read. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<container>, which hold a random client identifier so the same browser is not counted twice. They expire after up to two years. Your IP address is anonymised by the tag.
If you reject, the analytics script is never loaded — not loaded and then blocked, never requested at all. Declining has no effect on what you can read on this site.
We do not run advertising or remarketing tags, we do not record sessions or heatmaps, and we do not sell or share visitor data.
3. What an enquiry records
Sending an enquiry is a request for a quotation, so it is not covered by the analytics choice above. Along with what you type — name, company, email, phone, country, product interest, quantity and message — we store the page you sent it from, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you arrived on, your device type, and your IP address together with the country that address resolves to.
We use this to answer your enquiry, to quote accurately, and to keep automated spam out of the sales inbox. We do not profile visitors with it, and we do not sell or share it. Ask us using the contact details below and we will delete the record.
4. Changing your mind
Your current choice: not chosen yet.
You can reopen the notice and change the answer at any time. Rejecting after accepting also removes the analytics cookies that were already set.
